Exibicao de recursos do sistema no desktop

Já vi fotos da tela de algumas distribuicoes (Debian, inclusive) com informacoes do tipo: uso do processador, memoria, sistema de arquivos na tela de fundo (area de trabalho).Tem jeito de fazer isso no ubuntu?

joao_as já te pedindo demais (o que não deixa de ser normal) tem como postar o conteúdo do arquivo ~/.conkyrc

Tem também o monitor de sistema do Gnome que fica na barra de tarefas. Acho melhor pois posso ver o consumo de CPU, Swap, Memória e rede ao mesmo tempo e com janelas abertas. Já vem por padrão no Ubuntu.

Sem problema algum, segue abaixo um bem explicativo (em inglês) que peguei no próprio site do projeto, só tive que instalar o sensors, porque não estava conseguindo ver a temperatura da minha CPU e improvisei um código para isso (sensors|grep +|cut -c 15-16), vlw?

      Load           "dbe" Isso, é claro, no /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Depois é só reiniciar o X(ctrl+alt+backspace)

Copia o arquivo .conkyrc que ele passou que fica igual. 

Só não estou conseguindo colocar na dirieta. No arquivo tá assim:

top_right deveria ser topo à direita, mas ele insiste em ficar na esquerda.  Com isso ele está cobrindo os ícones da área de trabalho.

estou com o mesmo problema do leandro, quando aplico para ele ficar na direita ele fica no meio do desktop e n vai mais quando aplico para a esquerda ele ta indo de boa...podem explicar isso?
