Sony Vaio F Series - Ubuntu não detecta placa de som.

Olá, sou novo no sistema Ubuntu e estou com problemas na placa de som.

Instalei o Ubuntu 10.04 LTS e estava sem áudio. Resolvi atualizando o ALSA, mas após atualizar o Ubuntu a placa de som sumiu, o ALSA está instalado, mas não consegue detectar nenhuma placa de som, já tentei vários tutoriais e nenhum funcionou.

Não obtive nenhuma resposta do console, e nas preferências de áudio, não consta nenhuma placa, antes mostrava uma placa:

Aiaiai , a sony ,nec e fujitsu é zica , eles fazem umas placas que só eles tem o drive , ja peguei uns em outro idioma e tentei passar para pt-br , mais não vai mesmo!Mesmo usando o mesmo sistema operacional e só mudando para pt-br(digo trocar o win para pt-br) , os periféricos só funcionam na lingua original.
Tipo vamos supor que vc pegue um win 7 com placa de tv digital + saidas rca ou hdmi em win em inglês , ele só rodará o soft da placa em inglês , se colocar win em pt-br e somente inserir os drivers já não funciona !terás que colocar o win pt-br+ soft em inglês para rodar tudo funcional.
Aí vc pergunta mais como vou adicionar em inglês,simples adicionando o pacote em tranformando em inglês e depois retornando para pt-br e deixando somente o soft para rodar no idioma inglês.
No linux acaba ficando impossivel desde que o próprio não vem com o drives do linux dentro do cd e o padrão do linux não funcione neles , e só terás somente um backup do win (recovery).
Então quer dizer que não roda linux nele?Nem de win só com os drivers roda!rs(tem que usar no idioma que veio)
Roda sim ! porém perde algumas funções aí depende do que comprou , se for um pc com placa de video cheio de saidas rca ou rádio nem pegue !

Alguns nootbook tem o mesmo sintoma.
Agora se for um mais simples creio que funcione.
Por via das dúvidas procure o suporte da máquina e tente achar o drive nem que for pt-pt na europa , alguns tem o modelo diferente , porem os drivers se encaixam.(digo se seu modelo for sony xxx no site tem outro com o modelo yy , só que se for igualzinho talvez serve).
