BURG Bootloader danificou o sistema e agora não atualiza/instala mais nada

Olá pessoal, boa noite!

Após isso uma instalação mal sucedida do BURG Bootloader, não foi mais possível instalar outros programas e nem fazer a atualização diária do meu Oneiric.

Percebi que deu algum erro após a instalação porque o programa simplesmente nem aparecia.
Só que eu acabei complicando ainda mais a situação ao digitar BURG no Synaptic e marcar os vários temas que apareceram.

Agora tento desinstalar e não consigo!

Ao marcar para remoção completa o burg no pelo Synaptic, ele avisa que serão feitas as seguintes alterações:

burg será removido incluindo a configuração
burg-theme-abstract será removido
burg-theme-autumn será removid
burg-theme-burg-tv será removido
burg-theme-dark-shine será removido
burg-theme-fortune será removido

Então tento seguir essa orientação e também não consigo reinstalá-lo pelo sudo apt-get install burg.

Mostra uma mensagem que já tenho a versão mais atual instalada e diz que alguns pacotes serão atualizados.

A versão do burg que eu tenho é a 1.98+20100623-1.
Uso o Ubuntu 11.10 32 bits.

Esse erro está me deixando bem frustrado. 

Pensei que conseguiria remover o BURG com o sudo apt-get --purge remove burg.

O início da saída do terminal ficou assim:

O que eu poderia fazer pra remover esses pacotes?

Será que vou ter que formatar mesmo?

Deu um trabalhão pra deixar o sistema do jeito que eu gosto.

Resumindo a questão do BURG:
 

• não aceita desinstalar
• não aceita corrigir a instalação
• não aparece nada nos pacotes quebrados do Synaptic

E por conta disso tudo, não consigo atualizar o meu Ubuntu e nem instalar programas.

para instalar ele é necessário remover o grub?

Já tentou solucionar pacotes quebrados, comando:

sudo apt-get install -f

ou assim:

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* ; sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/* ; sudo apt-get clean ; sudo apt-get -f install ; sudo apt-get update


Lembre-se que este comando vai apagar tudo em cache do apt-get, portanto se você não deseja isso, não faça este procedimento ok.


Uma outra solução é tentar pelo aptitute caso você tenha instalado ele por aí já que não vem por padrão no Ubuntu e você está com problemas com o instalador apt-get.

Não removi o GRUB não.

O boot não foi danificado em nada por aqui.
Isso roda normalmente!

Uma outra solução é tentar pelo aptitute caso você tenha instalado ele por aí já que não vem por padrão no Ubuntu e você está com problemas com o instalador apt-get.

A instalação foi feita pelo apt-get, mas vou tentar o aptitude pra ver o que acontece.

Gente, eu realmente estou pensando em formatar esse notebook.  

O Unity 3D não inicia de jeito nenhum, Chrome que não consegue baixar nada (download interropido), o problema desse tópico, aplicativo que ameaça abrir e não abre,  etc... etc.. etc...

Só de pensar em formatar já me da uma fadiga enorme, mas enfim ... está parecendo que o trabalho será menor.

O que acham?

Quando instalei o Oneiric, foi numa instalação limpa e a imagem dele foi baixada por torrent.
Por isso nem verifiquei o MD5.
Estou dizendo isso porque não sei isso poderia colaborar para tantos problemas assim numa instalação novíssima.

Tente juntar todos os comandos que você fez antes assim, em um comando só:

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* ; sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/* ; sudo apt-get clean ; sudo apt-get -f install ; sudo apt-get update

Isso já me resolveu vários problemas e desde ontem notei que a cada comando você não fazia o sudo apt-get update recarregando assim as dependência tente o comando e se parar os erros ou não tente mais isso:

sudo apt-get autoremove

Espero que te auxilie e não seja preciso formatar nada.

Rapaz, eu tinha visto esse comando todo junto e achei que era só uma forma de escrever o post, mas no terminal teria que ser separado.  

Fiz com ele todo numa linha e o resultado foi esse abaixo.
Aaahhh ... realmente, eu não estava dando sudo apt-get update sempre e agora fiz antes de iniciar esse processo todo.

Bem, esse tal de BURG (que é GRUB ao contrário) é um gerenciador de boot mais bonitinho, então pensei que ele pudesse substituir o grub quando você instala ele e não que funcionasse em conjunto.

Pensei em mandar você instalar o grub para só depois remover o brug, caso realmente ele tivesse sido desinstalado pelo brug. É que uma vez, acho que foi com o java openjdk, vi uma pessoa tentando remover ele mas não era possível, entretanto foi só a pessoa instalar o java da sun que depois conseguiu remover o openjdk, esquisito né, ficou parecendo que o sistema não podia ficar sem java (acho que umas aplicações já instaladas dependiam diretamente do java) e aí tinha que instalar um outro antes de tentar remover o único que estava instalado, no caso o openjdk.

Particularmente tenho muito cuidado em usar esses tipos de aplicativos que trazem muita beleza ao sistema, mas que lidam com partes importantes do sistema, no caso aqui o boot, eu prefiro usar o padrão do Ubuntu, assim futuras atualizações do sistema via gerenciador de atualizações não correm o risco de conflitar com ele que pelo visto é instalado por um ppa né.
