Bem, se você consegue pingar até o gateway, mas não consegue ir além, sugere que o problema está em seu roteador.

Essa hipótese fica reforçada quando a gente considera que o problema acontece tanto na rede wireless quanto na cabeada.

tenho um PC que tem o Ubuntu 9.10 e a net funciona normalmente, somente no meu note que nao funciona. Não acredito que seja problema no roteador, pois se fosse acho que nenhum pc e sistema operacional entraria na net.

No msm Notebook o w7 funciona perfeitamente. É só no Linux ,nesse mesmo Note,  que isso acontece. O problema só acontece com o ubuntu 10.04.

Se for realmente problema no roteador, como faço para corrigir?

olá!
pesquisei alguma coisa no oráculo e observei que o network manager do ubuntu 10.04 andou apresentando problemas e uma solução era o Wicd. eu uso o kubuntu, por consequencia o gerenciador é o knetwork manager que não apresentou qualquer problema. só para acrescentar, acho bom olhar o problema tambem por essa perspectiva. agora continuando com a instalação do driver:
descompacte o arquivo com:

Obs: 1. talvez vc não tenha todos os compiladores. seria interessante vc baixar o gcc e o g++ em outro pc e compilar estes pacotes antes de iniciar a instalação do driver.

Olá, sou novato e estou passando por esse problema. A rede conecta, faz atualizações, porém o Firefox não navega. Então instalei por curiosidade outro navegador. Tentei com o Chromium e a navegação funcionou perfeitamente. Pode ser algum bug do firefox.
Se insistir ele navega na pesquisas do google, mas não entra nas página encontradas.

Em outra máquina, eu estava testando o ubuntu direto do cd e o Firefox não navegava. Depois que fiz a instalação definitiva, o firefox navegou normalmente.

Na máquina que estou testando, ocorreram alguns erros durante a instalação. Vou regravar o cd e reinstalar.

Mas por enquanto o problema parece ser do firefox. Mexi em proxy, configurações de rede, do roteador (tenho um d-link 604) onde está o micro com problema. Testei em uma rede com o 500G um note dell e está ok. Vou levar o dell para testar em casa e ver se o problema pode ser o roteador. Vou instalar com mais uma placa de rede para testar.

Espero ter ajudado. Se alguem achar a solução, favor informar.

Acho que resolvi o problema da navegação do firefox.

O meu modem é o DSL-G604T. Quando conectei o note da dell que funcionou no trabalho, o mesmo problema ocorreu. Pesquisei no google via windows de outro computador e encontrei em um forum a solução.

O que fiz foi o seguinte:
- Abri o Firefox
- onde se digita o endereço de internet coloque "about:config"
- aceite os riscos
- procure a linha: "network.dns.disableIPV6 = false"
- Dê um duplo click nessa linha para ela alterar para "true"
- não mexa mais em nada
- reinicie o firefox que deve funcionar.

Como o meu problema era a navegação, parei por aqui.

Olá quem tiver esse problema de conectar e nao navegar ou fica wireless pedindo senha basta ir no pai dos burros(google) e digitar download ubuntu 10.10 e baixar e instalar e fica resolvido é um problema no kernel desde a versao 9.04 em alguns modens wireless que ja foi resolvido no 10.10 ta uma blz o 10.10 é o maverick pode baixar e ja está resolvido o meu ta pegando sinal 100% agora huahauhauhuahauhau vlw galera
