Olá, estou com problema no synaptic. Já havia atualizado o sistema várias vezes, porém há uns quatro dias atrás quando estava fazendo as atualizações recomendadas, na hora da atualização do plugin do flash ele travou e eu desliguei o computador.
Agora, quando vou abrir o synaptic ele dá a mensagem: dpkg foi interrompido, você precisa manualmente rodar 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' para corrigir o problema.
Só que quando eu dou este comando no terminal, aparece a mensagem abaixo:

Ele fica tentando indeterminadamente, às vezes até cinco tentativas (entre uma tentativa e outra são 15 minutos). O mais estranho é que eu coloquei aquela url no firefox e consegui baixar o arquivo tar.gz, mas isso não me adianta nada pois meu problema principal é o synaptic que continua travado e dando aquela mensagem citada no início.
Uso o Ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala, só que instalado na versão em inglês (preferi assim para treinar o idioma).
Meu sources.list é o seguinte (não esqueçam que meu sistema está em inglês):
