resolução de tela lcd widescreen philips 190vw no 8.04

alguem pode me ajudar!!
A resolução de minha tela lcd Philips 190vw, não aceita a configuração correta que seria 1440x900, somente carrega até 1024x768, já tentei através do aplicativo "telas e placa de video", lá encontrei a tela genérica
lcd 1440x900, mas no campo resolução só aparece até a 1024..., no aplicativo "resolução de tela" só vai até 1024x768 e além disso, procurei importar o arquivo .inf que veio no cd de instalação e o video ficou totalmente
"desconfigurado", meu xorg.conf está desta forma abaixo:
