Descuido e um erro grosseiro (RESOLVIDO)

Prezados Ubuntistas
Ao instalar pelo synaptic as seguintes actualizações:

linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic_2.6.24-19.41_i386.deb --------- 17.5 MB

linux-headers-2.6.24-19-generic_2.6.24-19.41_i386.deb ------- 629.4 KB

linux-headers-2.6.24-19_2.6.24-19.41_all.deb ----------------- 7.8 MB

Accionei o interruptor de corte de energia da tomada dos dois computadores esquecendo-me de que este estava a fazer as ditas actualizações, que já estavam a rodar neste ponto pelo menos há duas horas: Running depmode
Digitei na consola ou terminal  " sudo dpkg --configure -a " e ao fim de mais 12 horas nunca saíu do Running depmode
Que posso fazer
Será que precisa de muito mais tempo ?
Será que posso mandar para o lixo aqueles três pacotes que estão no /var/cache/apt/archives, se sim como fazer porque já seleccionei os três só para ver, e não tenho a opção de lixo activa
Neste momento a máquina arranca mudo para segundo utilizador, acede muito bem a INT. mas não consigo fazer estas nem outras actualizações, e pelo menos já existe mais uma.

Uma ajuda será muito bem vinda com agradecimentos antecipados ao pessoal que compõe esta competente equipa deste grande forum em Português.

Tenta abrir o Nautilus por um terminal pelo comando sudo nautilus para ter permissão de escrita no diretório temporário do APT, não lembro direito e não estou usando o Ubuntu agora, se eu não me engano é /var/cache/apt/packages.

Apague todos os .deb's que estão lá dentro, provavelmente há algum pacote corrompido, e tente executar a atualização novamente.

Muito agradeço a sua pronta resposta ainda não consigo instalar de novo os ficheiros 2.6.4.19.41 continua a dizer para fazer o sudo dpkg --configure -a e não corre a instalação

Mas aprendi a ficar com a opção activada de atirar para o lixo neste caso os pacotes

Optei por apagar só os três pacotes linux 2.6.24-19.41 novos, e mais dois da versão antiga 19.24 e um que julgo ser yield que apareceu hoje para actualização, portanto optei só por estes mais recentes que serão os que ficaram com problemas e reiniciei a máquina por duas ou três vezes não conseguindo

Aproveito para acrescentar que estes pacotes encontram-se é mesmo em /var/cache/apt/archives

É o seguinte, vamos ter que apelar para o terminal para tentar resolver esse problema. Execute este comando, que serve para corrigir instalações "quebradas" do APT:

sudo apt-get remove -f

Este comando tentará remover qualquer instalação que tenha ficado pela metade ou incompleta, porém caso ele não funcione tente fazer o inverso, o comando:

sudo apt-get install -f

Que tentará instalar qualquer pacote que tenha ficado pela metade.

Caso ainda não resolva seu problema, recomendo dar uma lida neste artigo sobre o APT, embora o artigo seja direcionado ao Kurumin, os comandos e o programa são iguais:

Tentei com os comandos que indicou fui ao outro portal e não consigo nada continua a dizer-me que o dpkg tem problemas que faça o comando dpkg --configure -a assim que faço o enter com sudo dpkg --configure -a entra a tentar instalar um pacote linux image 2.6.24.19, não sei aonde o vai buscar porque ficaram todos apagados, e depois não sai do Running depmode a muito custo saio daqui faço Desligar e fica-me depois durante muito tempo a dar-me

Se você pode entrar no Ubuntu por outro kernel escolhido no grub, por exemplo o 2.6.24-18-generic ou inferior e se quiser tentar algo arriscado então:

abre um terminal e digita:

sudo gedit /var/lib/dpkg/status

lá procure e retire todas estas linhas:

Antes de avançar e abusando da sua excelente disponibilidade, ao correr o ficheiro encontro as seguintes versões, e como isto está a exceder as minhas capacidades resolvi mandar todas as versões em que vai o primeiro número de linha do pacote e o último número daquela versão, assim facilita a sua apreciação e se entender dar-me alguma indicação também me facilitará a entender
Se estas perguntas estiverem a exceder o propósito deste forum não tenha dúvida nebhuma em apagar tudo isto

Como você está com problemas com o pacote do kernel versão 2.6.24-19-generic é só ele que devemos remover de forma manual com os procedimentos indicados ok.

todo programa que você isntala pelo apt-get/Synaptic e etc vai colocar uma entrada com informações no arquivo /var/lib/dpkg/status e portanto você só vair remover as relativas ao kernel problemático (linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic e linux-headers-2.6.24-19-generic) para depois instalar novamente seguindo os outros passos.

Executei todos os passos, verificando linha a linha o que seleccionava e escrevia em princípio fiz tudo certo, depois fui ao gestor de actualizações e logo de imediato deu-me as três actualizações do linux-headers e image 2.6.24-19 e mais uma oa Yelp ao confirmar para actualizar deu-me o seguinte erro:

E:dpkg was interrupted. you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' abri um terminal procedi digitando sudo dpkg --configure -a pediu a palavra passe dizendo logo de imediato
A instalar linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic (2.6.24-19.41) ...
ficando na directoria pessoal com a barra preta a piscar
Voltei ao gestor de actualização dando ordem de actualização agora diz-me que possuo um pacote quebrado no sistema

Utilizar o filtro à medida "Quebrados para o localizar"
O que devo fazer interromper tudo para procurar - Utilizar o filtro à medida "Quebrados para o localizar" que tenho uma ideia mas não sei aonde está ou outro qualquer procedimento

como disse antes de instalar qualquer coisa você tem de fazer:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

sudo apt-get -f install

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get -f install

e só então atualize.

sudo apt-get --assume-yes install linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic linux-headers-2.6.24-19-generic linux-headers-2.6.24-19

Tinha colocando um comando errado, pois ao invés de ter digitado:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

havia escrito:

sudo apt-get --configure -a

Desculpe-me pelo errro (são tantos comandos que acabei me confundindo um pouco), mas o correto é:

sudo dpkg --configure -a


Explicando:

sudo apt-get -f install serve para solucionar pacotes quebrados

sudo dpkg --configure -a serve para solucionar o problema de interrupção no processo de instalação, por exemplo, o que você fez ao instalar algo e desligar o computador no momento da instalação.

Uma dúvida você usa o Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron ou o Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon?

Este erro é apenas por que na lista de repositórios você acrescentou o LiveCD do Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy como fonte de buscas de pacotes e aí quando usa o comando sudo apt-get update e o de instalação (sudo apt-get install...) ele tenta primeiro verificar se existe no LiveCD para instalar e só depois da internet, mas como você não deve ter o LiveCD na bandeja ele acusa isso que você mostra.

Veja no seu arquivo sources.list (que é a lista de repositórios de onde baixar pacotes do Ubuntu) tem a linha:

cdrom:[Ubuntu 7.10 _Gutsy Gibbon_ - Release i386 (20071016)]/dists/gutsy/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz

que é a que representa exatamente o LiveCD do Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, mas pelo kernel que está com problemas (2.6.24-19-generic), parece-me que você está usando é o Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, portanto há uma certa inconsistência no seu arquivo sources.list, ou seja, na lista de repositórios.

Abre uma consola e digita:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

e cola aqui todo o conteúdo do arquivo sources.list que irá ser aberto.

Como tive problemas com a gravação no CD optei por fazer uma instalação do 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon e depois fiz uma actualização para o 8.04 Hardy Heron

Foi outro erro meu não ter informado logo de início qual o S.O. montado, é sempre um pouco difícil escrever tudo o que temos de dizer o pensamento é mais veloz que os dedos
