Já vi vários posts no forum e no forum em inglês, mas não consegui resolver, talvez seja porque minha placa de vídeo é a Intel 940/945. Tinha o Ubuntu 7.10 com Compiz e tudo funcionava perfeitamente. Atualizei para o 8.04 e perdi o Compiz, GLX, Eclipse está com problemas..
Ao rodar "compiz --replace" retornava:
Checking for Xgl: not present.
Checking for texture_from_pixmap: not present.
Então vi que era um bug do link da libglx.so (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/192465). Alterei o link e ao rodar "compiz --replace" começou a retornar:
Checking for Xgl: present.
Checking for texture_from_pixmap: not present.
Depois não consegui resolver este segundo problema de texture_from_pixmap. Então tentei desinstalar tudo e reinstalar novamente, seguindo este post:

Tenho que dar "apt-get install nvidia-glx-new"? Ou "apt-get install nvidia-glx"? Minha placa é a Intel 940/945, é esse driver mesmo?
Minhas aplicações com OpenGL também não funcionam porque o GLX não está carregado.
