Kernel 2.4 no xubuntu

Amigos,
Estou fazendo uns testes usando xubuntu em uma máquina um pouco desprovida de hardware e memoria, e estou precisando usar o kernel 2.4, já que o xubuntu usa kernel 2.6 na instalação, fiz a instalação do kernel via apt, só que ele reportou o seguinte erro.
