[Resolvido] leitor de cartões de memória não funciona no ubuntu

Olá pessoal, poderiam, por favor, me ajudar a fazer funcionar o leitor de cartões de memória do notebook, rodando o ubuntu 12.04?
O note é um acer aspire e1-471, parece-me que o leitor é realtek. No site da acer só tem o driver para windows. Encontrei no site da realtek um driver para linux, que acredito ser o correto. Instalei, mas não funcionou. O cartão funciona, testei em outro computador com windows, e acredito que o problema não seja no meu hardware.

Retorna as respostas dos comandos lspci e lsusb para a gente.

Geralmente esses leitores tem suporte nativo no Ubuntu. Já tentou uma versão mais recente, como o ubuntu 13.10? Ou atualiza o kernel do 12.04, para o 3.8 ou 3.11, é só habilitar o repositório de backports e procurar na Central de Programa.
