Ok, aqui esta sua camera. Porém como já afirmei não vai funcionar no kino.

Para testar, instale pela central de programas o guvcview.

Ao conectar a camera, voce deveria ver alguma imagem.

Tota,
instalei o guvcview e liguei a camera e nada aconteceu. Eu esqueci de fazer alguma coisa no processo?
Eu ainda não entendi porque diz q a minha camera é USB, pq ela não funciona pelo fireware no Ubuntu?
Desculpa tanta pergunta, é q eu to tentando aprender a usar o sistema sozinha.

Isto esta uma bagunça! ( Desculpe, é piada)

Veja que ao plugar a câmera e ela ser reconhecida no sistema, será gerado um log de eventos ( dmesg ).

Se voce plugou a câmera e digitou o comando em seguida, o dmesg informa aquilo que foi postado, ou seja, encontra uma camera de video ( sua camera em modo webcam ) como /dev/input7

Com o guvcview, e sua camera conectada em modo webcam sairia uma imagem.

Experimente o seguinte:

sudo dmesg | grep videosudo dmesg |grep 1394
