Olá pessoal!!
Comprei meu note, porém o Ubuntu 11.04 não reconhece o modem e não encontrei nenhuma dica para instalar e fazer reconhecer o modem, infelizmente eu uso internet discada aqui em casa, pois não pega banda larga e preciso usar a internet quando estou em casa, meu modem é o  Conexant hdaudio soft data fax modem with smartcp. Aguardo resposto e até mais!!!!

Bem, voce com certeza leu as 91 paginas do topico, e sem querer não viu este link => http://linmodems.org/

Postado no topico. Use a ferramenta scanmodem e siga o topico novamente.

Como não uso modem já a algum tempo, não tenho como auxiliar melhor.

Fiz o procedimento indicado, quando abriu o arquivo, estava cheio de informação, me parece que o modem é conexant, mas gostaria de mais orietanção.

precompiled drivers matched to specific kernels. These have within the FileName,
