alguem sabe me dizer onde posso fazer o download do conky de uma versao instavel para o ubuntu 10.04? ja tentei pelo apt-get install conky mas da sempre erro. preferia instalar manualmente, se alguem poder postar como instalar e configurar o conky no ubuntu 10.04 agradeçia muito.
E onde posso arranjar um theme grande e transparente para ele ja procurei muito e nao consigo .

mas vem sem nada, sem paste conkyrc para mudificar sem nada mesmo. e se o ligo  da consola. ele nunca mais desliga memso se fechar a consola a ( Forca) ele fica la. tenho que reniciar. porque ele nao aparece nas Aplicaçoes ? apenas consigo exectuar na cansola. mas memso assim apareçe um conky todo feio  preto e pequeno. e nao da para mudficar porque nao aparece o .conkyrc . :) se alguem me poder dar uma dica agradeçia.

O conky não tem GUI. Pra fechar é só matar o processo. Mas você já teria resolvido o seu problema se tivesse lido o manual (man conky).
Você pode usar algum programa para criar um conkrc, mas até onde eu sei esse tipo de programa é limitado.

O conky ja esta instalado na sua maquina, aquela janela feia que não some é ele, as confgurações que fazem ele ficar "melhor" são feitas em um arquivo de texto, eu costumo editar o /etc/conky/conky.conf, dependendo do que você quer que ele mostre, é preciso instalar fontes, alguns programas....

fica todo bonito como o seu :) mas e' o segunte eu gostava de por mas alguma coisas, por exemplo queria tirar o calendario , e em relaçao a rede  onde diz Up and DOwn as baras nao foncionam. podias me passar um script igual ao seu porque o seu ta lindo amigo, mas sem aparecer.me esses erros , e sem calendarios e a por as barras da rede a dar, e com Horas e tempo ? portugal.lisboa

essas letras são das fontes que você não tem. São fontes que possuem símbolos, daí você precisa intalar as fontes.

Não entendi sobre "apenas queria por aquilo do tempo, mas se nao der nao faz mal.. mas claro gostava muito mesmo", se for sobre a parte de mostrar o dia e hora ja ta no script.

Sobre a mensagem é normal, configura o conky pra iniciar junto com o sistema.

Sobre as letras, é o que o sigur disse, se não achar elas te passo.

ah sim peço desculpa por me ter mal explicado entao, e' o seguinte onde posso sacar essas ( fontes ) ? e emrelação ao ( tempo ) e' um panel no conky que muita gente tem que apareçe o tempo que ta e que vai fazer nos proximos dias..  o tempo de Clima..  ;)

É só olhar no arquivo o nome da fonte, "jogar" no google e instalar. O painel do tempo é a mesma coisa, olha o conky de alguém que tenha o que você quer e copia. Devem existir dezenas de "tutoriais" por ai ensinando a instalar e modificar o conky.
Dica construtiva: seja proativo, corra atrás do que você quer.
