[RESOLVIDO] Miro e Totem não rodam videos flv, mkv, avi, rmvb

Boa noite galera,
Entãoo hj a tarde fiz uma atualização parcial sugerida pelo ubuntu 9.04 e passei a não rodar mais nenhum video rmvb, avi, flv, mkv pelo totem, miro ou vlc.O Totem e o vlc só abrem o formato mpeg mais nenhum outro. Não imagino qual o problema, lí mnts tópicos aqui e não achei resultados. Confirmo que o mplayer toca tds. Os ícones dos filmes que antigamente eram uma das cenas do mesmo, agora ficaram com um ícone tipo um rolo de filme, mas não há uma previsão da imagem. Nem o gnomesubtitle abre os vídeos. Por favor me ajudem, não sei mais o que fazer e não gostaria de formatar e reinstalar novamente. Fiz isso várias vezes:

Uso um eee pc 1000H com ubuntu 9.04 que instalei via usb, tenho 2 GB de RAM.
Td começou após essa infeliz atualização parcial (tive até que reiniciar) que não entendi direito, mas acho que tinha a ver com o empathy, se não me engano.

Resolvi seguindo os conselhos desse fórum:
"My problem was solved. I removed the libavcodec52 / libavcodec-extra-52 and this removed all video app related with then. Next I removed the Gstreamer and I deleted all "deb" in the cache(/var/cache/apt/archives/), I reinstalled GStreamer and all were ok."

É importante no synaptic forçar a versão do libavcodec-unstripped-52 para a versão 3:0 e não permitir a instalação da versão 4:0.5
Se a versão 4: 0.5 for instalada os problemas retormam. Instale tbm o ffmpeg versão 3, não instale a versão 4.
Para fazer isso vá clique em ffmpeg no synaptic e vá na aba pacote, depois forçar versão. Lá vc verá as versãoes disponíveis e marque a 3 para ser instalada e não a 4.
