Erro no apache2: modulos nao querem funcionar

Instalei no meu ubuntu 9.04 o apache e o php com o comando:

sudo apt-get install apache2 php5 php5-mysql

depois de instalado fui verificar se o php estava funcionando e nao estava, nem o modulo rewrite. entao verifiquei se estes modulos estavam disponiveis na pasta /etc/apache2/mods-enabled e la estavam. entao fui verificar se o apache estava carregando os modulos e digitei:

sudo a2enmod rewrite
sudo a2enmod php5

Module rewrite already enabled
Module php5 already enabled


onde esta o problema???
