Instalar Eclipse 3.02

Estou rodando a ultima versão do eclipse 3.02 e o ubuntu 8.04

Já instalei java e várias outras coisas.
Da o seguinte erro.
The connection was refused when attempting to contact 127.0.0.1:8500

Quando abre o eclipse gera estes logs
Ele abre e tudo mas a tela do my aptana fica branca e

consegui rodando com o usuário usando sudo.
mas estranho que pelo gnome no atalho não está funcionando
