Salve moçada, criei esse tópico para aqueles que usam o Conky e queiram compartilhar seus scripts com outros usuários, tenho visto vários desktops "conkados" que ficaram muito bonitos, dispensando programas como o gdesklets e o Screenlets. Aqui vai o meu primeiro (as fotos podem ser apenas da janela do conky, não precisa ser a tela toda) e por favor, não me invadam pelo IP, mesmo pq a máquina não é a minha, hehehehehe:

Claro fabioal, a intenção é essa, caso gostem. ;D

Agora eu fiz uma pequena atualização do meu .conkyrc que apresentei aqui anteriormente por que no calendário não estava aparecendo os dias da semana. Ele ainda está um pouco fora de alinhamento (vertical) em relação as datas, mas é coisa pouca.

Atenção que esse .conkyrc é um pouco diferente do CONKY-colors 2.3.1.1 do link indicado, pois a parte final dele que é para mostrar a clima eu não consegui fazer aqui, além do que não gosto de nada que vá procurar em algum lugar na net as informações, então retirei.

Outra coisa é que tem uma informação sobre bateria, mas como não estou usando em um notebook, vou retirar esta parte também, mas deixei aí no .conkyrc para quem for usar neste caso (notebook).

Solucionei o problema do calendário não estar com os dias da semana alinhado com as datas, então meu .conkyrc foi alterado no texto original que contém a tela do meu desktop com o conky.

É o mesmo que o de cima que eu coloquei antes, mas botei outras coisinhas, como temperatura e % de uso do processador (com uma barra de uso) e a temperatura do sistema. O que está em vermelho, para funcionar, tem que ser mudado de acordo com a configuração da máquina do usuário.

Por exemplo, pintinho, o seu, que tem um gráfico, não utiliza muita memória? não me pode confirmar quanta memória ele gasta?

Normalmente quando abro o Ubuntu, sem usar nada, a memória usada fica em torno de 21% (320 mb de 1.5 GB).
Pode olhar que o gasto com o conky funcionando está em 23% (355 mb de 1.5 GB).
O máximo que cheguei aqui (normalmente eu não abro tudo ao mesmo tempo) foi 500 mb de 1.5 GB.
Quem usa o Vista sabe a diferença, não?
O Ubuntu sem dúvida é a melhor Distro.

Botei aqui uma atualização do meu script, com mais alguns adendos, como mostrar a velocidade do cooler do processador, temperatura da placa de vídeo e porcentagem de uso de memória de vários itens, eu combinei alguns parâmetros dos scripts postados aqui, hehehehe...

Qto à pergunta sobre o Conky usar recursos do sistema, todo programa, pra rodar, faz isso, mas dentre as opções disponíveis (gDesklets, ScreenLets, etc) o Conky é o mais leve. Na máquina que estou usando o Conky, o uso do processador fica sempre em 2% ou 3% de uso sem nada aberto e com o Conky funcionando e, com coisas abertas, como copiando cd e usando o Firefox, o uso de memória fica em torno de 280MB ou 14% da memória instalada.
