Não consigo mexer nos repositórios via synaptic

Tentei ver a lista de repositórios do synaptic hoje. Recebi a mensagem de que a lista havia sido alterada e era preciso recarregar. Fiz isso. O botão de recarregar permaneceu ativo e, ao clicar em repositórios, apareceu a mensagem de que havia dois deles repetidos. Dei uma olhada nele pelo gedit, e não havia nada duplicado. Voltei ao synaptic. A primeira mensagem novamente. Recarreguei. A mesma mensagem. Recarreguei. A mesma mensagem. Pelo gedit, alterei a sources.list, usando a lista indicada no tópico do RC. Voltei ao synaptic. Mesma coisa. Dei update pelo terminal. Voltei ao synaptic. Mesma coisa.

Alguém tem idéia do que seja?

Já tentou algo pelo apt-get para ver se dá uma mensagem melhor?

Fiz um apt-get update. Dá uma saída normal. Volto ao synaptic, e se repete a tal mensagem de que preciso recarregar, pois a lista de repositórios foi alterada. E não sai disso.
