Instalação Placa Gráfica nVidia 7600 GS

O meu PC tem necessidades muito especias. A minha motherboard não se dá com o linux, mas arranjei maneira de dar a volta a isso colocando a Gráfica Onboard na Blacklist. Eu consegui instalar a minha ATi Radeon 9250Pro. Recentemente mudei para uma nVidia 7600 GS, instalei o driver proprietário e encontei vários defeitos no ficheiro xorg.conf já corrigi várias coisas mas agora deparo-me com um erro no screen k não consigo corrigir alguém me ajuda por favor.

Nota: No debian não precisei de corrigir o Xorg.conf e tudo correu bem...

Como você instalou o driver da NVIDIA? Você rodou o comando sudo nvidia-xconfig após a instalação?

Sim já rodeu esse comando, e encontrei vários erros no ficheiro, muitos esses que já corrigi, como a indentificação em device os BusID etc...

Amigo, existe mais de uma forma de instalar o driver propietário. Você instalou manualmente, através do gerenciador de drivers restritos ou baixou direto do site da NVIDIA?

a palca de video é diferente, mas o programa mencionado instala.

Eu arranjei uma possível solução mas como só tenho internet através de uma placa usb de internet móvil e só opero em modo texto,ao iniciar o wvdial só consigo inserir mais comandos depois de deligar a placa, alguém me ajuda a correr este comando em background?

Não entendi direito 
Mas.. você pode tentar o comando :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
E colocar o driver de vídeo em vesa (driver genérico) para entrar no X (ambiente gráfico)
Observação : talvez seu teclado fique em inglês .

Depois se tiver paciência , podemos tentar
