Audio no mplayer

olá pessoal, estou com um problema relacionado ao mplayer, toda vida que eu boto ele pra iniciar um vídeo ele fica com um xiado no audio horrivel, nao da pra ouvir nada. somente o xiado, testei minha placa de som ouvindo mp3 e videos no windows e ta tudo normal. no Linux o meu audio para ouvir mp3 está funcionando perfeitamente também.

instalou tudo beleza, mas quando eu mando dar play no video, acontece os seguintes erros no terminal :

eu até baixei 2 versões diferentes de codecs no site do mplayer, mas os 2 continuam dando o mesmo erro :/
testei varios videos diferentes e o xiado continua. e quando nao fica dando esse monte de erro no mg123 fica nessa parte mais um pouco cima quando ele fica tentando botar outros codecs para funcionar.
o w32codecs também está instalado.

tente usar o player xine, se funcionar tem como usar a engine do xine no mplayer (ou no totem, nao me lembro exatamente) mais tente usar o xine, se funcionar já é uma solução, ao menos, temporária

o xine ta pedindo um codec o MPEG Audio Layer
e o w32 codecs está instalado e o realplayer também :/

alguma sugestao?
