Problemas com conexão WIFI indisponível

Boa noite.

Eu possuo um notebook LG de modelo P430. Desde a versão 11.10, a internet WIFI vem tendo problemas. Ora funciona, ora não. Por exemplo, tem dia que eu ligo o note e a internet WIFI está funcionando perfeitamente (como está exatamente agora), mas tem dia que diz que a conexão WIFI está indisponível (como foi o caso de ontem). É um notebook até que atual, então não possui uma placa de rede antiga. Desconfio que seja driver.

Vc chegou a instalar o driver staging de sua placa RT3090?

então, eu estava olhando a sua solução lá e tentei instalar o driver neste link aqui: RT3090PCIe.

não encontrei nenhuma referência a uma versão "staging", é esta versão mesmo? Se for, então não estou conseguindo instalar... o comando "make" falha (estou no trabalho, em casa eu posto o erro que estou tendo ao tentar compilar o driver).

OBS.: eu tentei primeiro com a instalação crua do ubuntu 12.04, depois tentei instalar o "build-essentials" (ou algo do tipo... sem autocomplete e usando um ruindows na empresa é tenso lembrar de cabeça os nomes hehe). Mas nas 2 tentativas não consegui executar o comando "make". será que eu baixei a versão errada do driver?

a propósito, hoje já são 3 dias seguidos que não estou tendo problema... O.o talvez depois que eu atualizei o ubuntu via cabo tenha resolvido, mas eu não tinha percebido por não ter reinicializado o sistema... O.o

mas pelo sim, pelo não, eu estava olhando la no windows, o driver que veio instalado de fabrica era o do RT2086 e não o RT3090, será que se eu instalar este driver (quando voltar a dar problema, já que agora está até que bom o WIFI... O.o, vai intender), deve resolver o problema???

Vou continuar testando durante a semana para ver se só a atualização do ubuntu resolveu o problema, caso eu volte a ter problema, eu volto aqui pra atualizá-lo se o driver acima funcionou ou não... hehe

Conseguiu resolver o problema? eu instalei o driver aqui ele está na pasta /etc/Wiresless, mas antes a wifi ficava "device not ready" e agora sumiu de vez!
