Dúvidas Sobre Compilar

Estou compilando meu primeiro arquivo hehehe
Já li alguns tópicos sobre compilação aqui no fórum e algumas das minhas dúvidas ja foram sanadas.

Agora a minha dúvida é a seguinte, eu digito ./configure no terminal aparece isso:

Já instalaste o build-essential? sudo apt-get install build-essential
desculpem as mensagens não respondidas, mas eu tô afastado há mais de ano...
um dia eu volto ;)

Por que ocorre isso ao tentar instalar o XML:: Parser ???

O pacote libxml-parser-perl não está disponível, mas é referenciado por outro pacote.
Isso pode significar que o pacote está faltando, ficou obsoleto ou
está disponível somente a partir de outra fonte
E: O pacote libxml-parser-perl não tem candidato para instalação

Você já atualizou sua lista de repositórios conforme o 1º tópico dessa seção? Talvez seja por isso. Ou talvez porque estou usando o Breezy e alguns pacotes mudaram de nome. É melhor você executar aquele 1º comando que eu falei, o apt-cache, aí você vai ver alguns pacotes aparecendo, cabe a você saber escolher quais são os adeqüados.
