Falha de boot entre dois SO

Boas,

tenho num HD dois S.O, o xp e ubuntu 9.04

mas tenho uma falha de boot, pois agora ao escolher no arranque do pc o XP, o que aconteçe?

Não arranca.... isto seŕá possivel??? o ubuntu inicia se eu escolher, e o win xp não inicia..

1º instalei o XP....

e

2º instalei o ubuntu...


ajudam-me a resolver este embaraçoso problema

A entrada do XP no menu do Grub está correta.
Vc pode tentar :
1-Recuperar o GRUB :
Código: [Selecionar]
sudo grub
Código: [Selecionar]
find /boot/grub/stage1
Código: [Selecionar]
root (hd?,?)(onde ?,? é o que aparece no 2 - (hd0,1) por exemplo)
Código: [Selecionar]
setup (hd0)
Código: [Selecionar]
quit
2-Recuperar a MBR para o XP (para ver se o problema é do próprio XP) :
   Com o CD de instalação escolha Reparar uma instalação usando o Console de Recuperação e digitando fixmbr.
   Se for esse o problema vc recupera o Grub em seguida usando a dica número 1.
O Ubuntu sem dúvida é a melhor Distro.

como é que consigo chegar a consola do xp com o cd do windows?

desde já agradeço por estar a resolver este problema

este cd de xp... não existe a parte de reparar.. vai logo para a parte das partições

ando mesmo nabo nisto...
