Aproveitando o topico estou com um problema no synaptic, acrescentei na souce list um endereço de um repositorio quebrado e agora ele esta dando erro e fecha logo em seguida........

E: Linha mal formada 48 no arquivo de fontes /etc/apt/sources.list (análise de distribuição)
E: A lista de fontes não pôde ser lida.
Configure as opções de repositórios para corrigir o problema.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Nao da para entrar e remover, pois ele fecha logo em seguida.

obrigado renato, as configuraçoes do source estao padrao, eu so adicionei um endereço invalido mas ja retirei usando o comando postado, apos retirar o synaptic voltou a funcionar normalmente.

Aproveitando o tópico estou com um problema

Fui assistir uns filmes aki no pc e alguns não rodaram entaum fui baixar uns codec e executei o seguinte comando:

aí meu pc desligou e não terminou de instalar e a gora naum consigo mais abrir o synaptic dá o seguinte erro:

mesmo digitando sudo dpkg --configure -a
nã resolve o q faço?

Eu também tive um problema parecido, ainda não consegui resolver por completo.
Mas nesta página do Ubuntu tem várias dicas que talvez possam te ajudar:

O problema que dá no Synaptic é que ele não funciona se não reparar ou eliminar os pacotes quebrados.
Provalvemente algum scritp dos codecs parou bem no meio da instalação quando a luz apagou.
Voce pode também tentar instalar de novo.
Mas antes leia as dicas.
No meu caso só consegui sucesso usando o aptitude que é um outro programa que usa o apt.
A solução pode variar.
Informe aos outros o que acontece após você digitar o comando sudo dpkg --configure -a?
Se não resolve e não trava o micro então tente os outros comando do apt, e por último se todos falharem, tente usar o aptitude.
