Problema ao instalar programas pelo "Adicionar/Remover"

Pessoal, quando tento instalar algum programa pelo Adicionar/Remover, simplesmente nenhum programa é carregado, dando a seguinte mensagem: "Não há nenhum aplicativo semelhante disponível"...

Que fazer?

Faz o seguinte tenta reinstalar os pacotes:

- app-install-data-commercial
- app-install-data

se ainda não resolver reinstala também o:

- gnome-app-install



OBS: antes de fazer as instalações indicadas acima, atualize os repositórios (comando sudo apt-get update). Force a reinstalação para que ele sobrescreva os antigos que podem estar com alguma falha ok.

Já tentou fazer assim:

sudo apt-get --purge remove app-install-data-commercial app-install-data gnome-app-install

depois:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install -f

sudo apt-get -y install app-install-data-commercial app-install-data gnome-app-install

E por fim reiniciar a interface gráfica antes de ir verificar no Adicionar/Remover...


app-install-data-commercial:

Application Installer (data files for commercial applications)
A pretty application installer.

 This package contains the data files for the commercial applications
available in gnome-app-install.

app-install-data:

Ubuntu applications (data files)
This package contains the Ubuntu specific application data for
gnome-app-install, an easy to use and simple application installer.

gnome-app-install:

types or gstreamer codecs.

Acho que seu problema tem haver com esses pacotes aí, você não acha?

gonome-app-install é o comando que chama o Adicionar/Remover... pelo terminal ou pelo Alt+F2 (Executar Aplicativo)

Agora só tente isso aí se estiver disposto a correr riscos, pois não sei se funciona ou se não prejudicaria mais alguma coisa no seu sistema. Tem uma pessoa que teve o mesmo problema e preferiu reinstalar o sistema para resolvê-lo, mas é uma medida drástica.
