Conexão instável apenas no Ubuntu

Ultimamente minha conexão está caindo muito, mas só no Ubuntu, no XP está normal.
Peguei o log do GNOME-PPP, segue abaixo:

Isso ocorreu após a troca "forçada" de modem que tive de fazer, e desde que estou me conectando no Ubuntu, a conexão cai muito, me conecto, fico um pouco, e depois cai, e em outras vezes eu conecto, ele disca e volta para a tela de conectar.
Mais uma vez peço ajuda, pois no modem não é, visto que no XP está normal.
