Pessoal, instalei o Ubuntu 7.04 e ja atualizei... ai parti para a instalação do Driver de Video da Nvidia fui no site e baxei o

NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1.run

ai paro o gdm, abro uma nova sessão como root via modo texto...
dou permissão de execução e executo o driver...

ai aceito o contrato e na tela de baixar o kernel pre compilado da nvidia respondo nao

  Instala o driver da nvidia q vem com o automatix,ou, o driver q eh carregado quando da ativaçao do desktop efects em sistema, preferencias...

 amd64 3000+ ,chaintech-uli,512mb,fx 5200

Ou simplesmente, "sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx" depois "sudo nvidia-xconfig"

O meu deu este erro. Resolveu depois que deabilitei o driver nvidia-glx pelo menu gnome e depois instalei o build-essentials. Mas mesmo assim não consegui usa-lo ainda.

Tbm não consigo fazer ele funcionar, instalo ele, dai reinicio e não consegue-se entrar no modo gráfico =/

Vc tentou instalar pelo gerenciador de drivers restritos??
Eu instalei por ele e funciona de boa o Beryl.
