Sem som nenhum (autos, fones e etc.) - Ubuntu 13.10 e Mint 16 Petra - Não uso Wi

Não uso windows, meu note é um Asusu N56VJ  e estou totalmente sem som. Ele veio com o Win8 e eu atualizei para o Win8.1 e ai já era. Depois de bater muito a cabeça....desisti desta porcaria de sistema e estou só com linux, porém o problema persiste.

Fiz lspci e o resultado foi:

Já procurei ajuda em todos os lugares e nada. Alguém me dá um help????????????

Seu som deveria aparecer no lspci

De uma olhada com sudo dmesg |grep audio ou veja nas configurações do EFI ou mesmo se existem teclas para "ligar" o som

Ele não me dá nenhum resultado para sudo dmesg | grep audio!!!!

Estou super perdida sem saber o que fazer. Quando eu tirei o windows da máquina ele não estava funcionando, e eu usei a ferramenta disk para zerar a partição onde ele estava, limpar mesmo, ma parece que as informações do registro dele ficaram, isso é estranho pacas! Pode acontecer?

Como não consegui sucesso, acabei formatando e por hora só estou com o Ubuntu 12.4, mas sem som......  :'(

Não sei mais o que fazer..... ??? ??? ???
