Caro Tota;

Como eu já havia postado, quando inicio pela primeira vez o sistema, no meu monitor aparece uma tela roxa e depois uma tela preta, eu até ouço o som do meu Ubuntu 13.04 iniciando, mas não aparece nada. Assim, só consigo entrar depois, numa segunda tentativa, pois fico com o botão Start precionado até desligar, aí quando ligo, eu fico apartando a tecla Esc pra entrar no Grub, aí eu consigo entrar no Ubuntu.
Depois o kernel começa a carregar os drivers e aparece a mensagem:
uvcvideo: Failed to query (129) UVC probe control
Aí ele inicializa.
Acho que é algo com minha webcam, mas não tenho certeza.
O que devo fazer?

É notebook ou de mesa?

Pelo sintoma, tela roxa e depois preta ouvindo o som de inicio, ou o brilho do monitor está desajustado oué sua placa de video (drivers)

Uvcvideo é sim de webcam, não tem nada a ver com o pau de inicialização.

Tente reconfigurar seu x11 [# reconfigure xserver -xorg] eu não lembro bem mas tem aqui no forum.

É que seu dmesg não informa nada, pois ele mostra a inicalização antes de entregar o sistema ao ambiente grafico.

Assim, seu problema cem depois do dmesg

No modo de recuperacão tente recuperar seu x11
