Problemas com o áudio

Pessoal, não consigo ativar o subwoofer no Ubuntu 12.04. Tenho seis caixas, mas o som só sai em duas. Já li vários tutorias e fiz diversas pesquisas, mas não consegui resolver o problema. Alguém já sabe como resolver?
