Compartilhar scanner da HP na rede

Não estou conseguindo compartilhar na rede, para estações Ubuntu, uma impressora/scanner HP F4480 ligada a um Debian.

O compartilhamento com cups para imprimir funciona perfeitamente, e imprimir e escanear do próprio Debian também.
Porem não  consigo encontrar o scanner através das estações Ubuntu. Mesmo seguindo este artigo: http://bit.ly/ruGUTZ
Quando digito o comando scanimage -L no Ubuntu, recebo esta mensagem:
