configuração do xorg!!!

Bom galera recentemente instalei o ubuntu 9.10 ne um pc aqui em ksa

mas fui usar o monitor em outro pc com P-video nvidia

ai quando voltei para o pc anterior a tela ficou desconfigurada

passando de 1440x900 para 800x600 e nao vai mais do que isso

lendo alguns tutoriais na net, é informado que deve se alterar no arq xorg.conf

alterei add as linhas HorizSync e VertRefresh mas nada
