Olá à Todos do Forum!

Faz 1 ano que venho utilizando o ubuntu, onde comecei pelo 8.10 e agora estou no 9.04.
Com MUITA dificuldade convenci minha esposa a usa-lo também.
Agora depois de muito tempo e sacrificios ela já se acostumou e eu estava para remover o windows xp que estava em uma segunda partição. AI...
ela comprou uma webcam HardCam para falar com a familia que esta distante e me pediu para instalar a web. Começaram os problemas!
Tentei varios topicos do forum e só piorou meu problema, sumiu icones, parou de entrar nas configurações de video até o ponto de parar de entrar no ubuntu. Ai tive que formatar e instalar de novo... Trabalheira só com um monte de fotos e musicas....!!!!
E até agora não consegui fazer a web funcionar e ainda tive que voltar a instalar o windows Xp para ela usar a webcam...

Será que, por favor, Alguem poderia me ajudar com a Web antes que eu tenha que voltar para o Windows ou acabar em divorcio???
gostaria que funcionace no aMsn e no Skype...

Teste aí no Skype se não funcionar , já era, também tenho uma dessa fábrica(Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0ac8:305b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. ZC0305 Webcam) que não funciona com esses drivers do Linux.

é uma vimicro que deveria funcionar. Veja o link abaixo ( eu não li o mesmo )

Pelo visto ela usa o driver gspca e deveria estar ok.

Olá à Todos do Forum!

Faz 1 ano que venho utilizando o ubuntu, onde comecei pelo 8.10 e agora estou no 9.04.
Com MUITA dificuldade convenci minha esposa a usa-lo também.
Agora depois de muito tempo e sacrificios ela já se acostumou e eu estava para remover o windows xp que estava em uma segunda partição. AI...
ela comprou uma webcam HardCam para falar com a familia que esta distante e me pediu para instalar a web. Começaram os problemas!
Tentei varios topicos do forum e só piorou meu problema, sumiu icones, parou de entrar nas configurações de video até o ponto de parar de entrar no ubuntu. Ai tive que formatar e instalar de novo... Trabalheira só com um monte de fotos e musicas....!!!!
E até agora não consegui fazer a web funcionar e ainda tive que voltar a instalar o windows Xp para ela usar a webcam...

Será que, por favor, Alguem poderia me ajudar com a Web antes que eu tenha que voltar para o Windows ou acabar em divorcio???
gostaria que funcionace no aMsn e no Skype...

desculpe a demora em responder... ando meio atarefado!
bem, tentei todas as opções deixadas aqui, mais nenhuma foi satisfatória!
Tentei de varias formas e maneiras possíveis... mais no final por incrível que pareça reiniciei o computador e a cam funcionou no skype depois que coloquei os drivers da v4l para rodas... Blz.. 1 problema foi solucionado...
já no amsn descobri que não funciona com no msn.. ele não tem suporte para video conferencia( não funciona para eu ver a pessoa e a pessoa me ver ao mesmo tempo).
Ai vai outra pergunta seguindo o problema, qual o programa que devo usar para usar a cam com no msn? eu vendo a pessoa e a pessoa me vendo ao mesmo tempo?

desculpe, mas qual versão do ams você esta usando?
minha versão é a 0.97.2~debian-2ubuntu2  e funciona normal.... uso a can do notebook um vostro 1520 e  funfa normal.... ( bem até agora, só isso funfa a can,,, não consegui usar ela para outras cositas mais....  )

digita dpkg -s amsn e me diz a versão

você esta usando algum plugin?
