Galera, olha minha saga...

tenho uma placa de rede da Kaiomy que o ubuntu nao esta reconhecendo
no cd da placa tem um driver pra linux em tgz
tentei descompactar mas aparece a seguinte mensagem
gzip: stdin: notin gzip format
bom pesquisando no google vi que poderia ser o build-essential q nao estava instalado...

porem to sem net, pq a placa nao funciona

daí fui lah nos pacotes Synaptic pra instalar...
pede assim: insira o cd nomeado como ubuntu 7.10 _Gutsy Gibbon_ -Release i386
usei o cd que instalei o progama, nao reconheceu o cd
gravei um novo cd nomeado como ele pediu, sem sucesso...

agora minhas cartas acabaram...
alguem pode me ajudar?
