Aceleração 3d

Oi gente tenho a versão 7.04 do kubuntu e não sei como ativar a aceleração 3d dele.
Eu fiz este comando  glxinfo | grep rendering
e a resposta foi essa direct rendering: No
a minha placa de vido é uma Nvidia

No Kubuntu tem o Gerenciador de Drivers Restritos? (Sistema > Administração > Gerenciador de Drivers Restritos). Se tiver é só instalar a sua nVidia por ele.
Se não tiver, no Synaptic deve ter  : nVidia-glx

Ola fiz tudo oq me foi recomendado mais msm assim ainda não funcionou no kubuntu pelo menos pelo caminho que vcs me falaram não tem um gerenciador de hardware

Não é "gerenciador de hardware", é  "Gerenciador de Drivers Restritos", em Sistema>Administração. Ele existe no Kubuntu?

Eu usei esse no meu ubuntu, depois instalei o kubuntu-desktop que é a interface kde para ubuntu, não tive problemas,
Hoje de manhã instalei o kubuntu, mais ainda não tive tempo para instalar os drives 3D.

tenta isso e me diz o que houve.

não tem esse gerenciador de drivers restritos tem só sistema>:, não tem sistema>administração.

e eu não consegui instalar o envy deu um monte de erro.

olha só.... entra aqui:

 e instala o automatix pra kubuntu, escolha sua versão.. x86 ou x86-64


ai pronto

abra o automatix e instale o driver pelo programa.. reinicie a sessão (CONTROL + ALT + BACKSPACE) e pronto

eu fiz a instalação do automatix mas a parte grafica do meu pc esta desaparecendo acho que é alguma configuração na xorg.conf pq eu volto a antiga e finciona normal da uma olhada na configuração que ficou depois que instalei o automatix e minha nVidia:

Bom dia!
Atualizei o UbuntuStudio da versão 7.04 para a 7.10. Estava com o driver Radeon ativado para minha placa de vídeo ATI Radeon 9600, com aceleração 3D.
Depois da atualização, não tenho mais a aceleração 3D. A mensagem que tenho ao testar o driver é:

$ glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"
Xlib:  extension "ATIFGLRXDRI" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual

Como faço para resolver isso e ter de volta a aceleração 3D?
