Ajuda no firefox

Estou tentando instalar os plugins no firefox porem toda vez que eu tento aparece a mensagem de "Can not find `*****`". Acredito que isto seja algum erro de configuracao porque ja tentei os mais variados plugins e sempre aparece a mesma coisa. Alguem faz ideia do que possa ser?

Cara, eu li algo sobre ele neste forum, porem nao consigo instala-lo poque aparece a seguinte mensagem:
Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: tango-icon-theme-common.

Na verdade eu nao consigo instalar nada, sempre aparece estes erros de dependencia. Nao consigo entender o motivo destes erros, se rola alguma dependencia ele deveria baixar ou entao ja estar anexada aos programas.

Acho que estou com problemas de acesso ao respositorio porque entrei no Applications/Add/remove e tentei instalar alguns programas e nada deu certo.
Alguem sabe como posso verificar se estou realmente conectado com o repositorio? e como eu posso resolver este problema caso nao esteja?

Faz assim, abra um terminal e digite o comando abaixo:

sudo apt-get update
Ou então tente instalar qualquer coisa pelo terminal:

sudo apt-get install pacote

Ai cole a resposta aqui para tentarmos ajudar. Informe também qual é a versão do ubuntu que esta usando.

Abra o Synaptic (Sistema > Administração > Gerenciador de Pacotes Synaptic), clique em Configurações > Repositórios e retire a referência ao CDROM. Se não conseguir abra o terminal (Aplicações > Acessórios > Terminal), edite o arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Comente a linha relativa ao CDROM (colocando um # no início da linha) e feche o arquivo. Após isto execute:

sudo apt-get update
Na duvida poste aqui o conteúdo do arquivo sitado que te ajudo.

cara, fui la e apenas desmarquei a opcao do cd-rom, olha o que aconteceu agora:

mudou alguma coisa porem continuo sem conseguir instalar nada... :-(

Estranho, estava olhando o tal arquivo e me parece que esta tudo comentado porque todas as linhas tem o jogo da velha no comeco. Nao deveria ter pelo menos algum descomentada? olha o arquivo:

Volte lá e marque as outras opções, a exceção  o CDROM, o erro agora é não ter repositórios listados (estão todos comentados).

legal, agora parece que melhorou, mas ainda rolaram alguns erros, sera que falta alguma configuracao ou eh porque agora deve ter algum servidor fora do ar? dei o update via linha de comando:

Acho que agora é mesmo conseguir baixar os arquivos. Repita o comando sudo apt-get update algumas vezes, pois isto costuma ajudar a resolver, sendo que acaba conseguindo baixar o arquivo.

Caso venha a ter problemas com seu sources.list existe também a chance de refazê-lo, usando o Ubuntu sources.list generator para gerar novamente o conteúdo para o arquivo.

Aparentemente não será preciso usar o link passado, mas caso venha a mexer no arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list novamente faça um backup por segurança.

estava com problemas talvez porque estava utilizando uma internet free mto ruim, resolvi pagar uma lan house agora e tudo deu certo!
