Frequencia monitor SyncMaster 206BW

Boas,

Tenho o ubuntu 7.10 instalado, instalou-me praticamente automático os driver da placa gráfica que é uma Nvidia 8800.

O meu monitor é um Samsung SyncMaster 206BW e a resolução dele é de 1680X1050 @ 60Hz, acontece que nas definições ele aparece com 62Hz o que faz com que a imagem não fique muito nítida. Como posso meter a trabalhar com 60Hz (já que em Sistema/Preferências/resolução do ecran só aparece 62Hz para escolher, assim como em Sistema/Administração/screens and Graphics)?

Neste momento já esta a 60Hz, mas... a qualidade de imagem não é grande coisa, parece desfocado (não está muito mal, mas comparado com a imagem que tenho no windows, é bem inferior, não tem nada a ver).

É mesmo assim o ubuntu (devido às fontes e essas coisas), ou dá para fazer alguma coisa.

Vá em Sistema>Administração>Preferências>Resolução de Tela e veja se consegue colocar uma taxa de refresh maior, pelo menos 72 ou 75 Hz. Minha placa é uma mísera GeForce 440MX, num monitor CRT Samsung SyncMaster 793DF, e consigo facilmente 1024x768 @ 85 Hz, ou 1280x1024 @ 60 Hz.

Neste momento não estou em casa para experimentar, mas penso que não dá... andei a ver o que era possível fazer mas lembro-me que na história das frequências só aparecia 62 Hz e após a tua dica só aparece 60Hz.

A resolução nativa deste monitor é precisamente 1680X1050 @60Hz.

Os monitores CRT´s trabalham com freq. maiores do que os TFT´s
