Leitura da SourceList... algumas dúvidas... [Resolvido]

Bem senhores, logo abaixo coloquei o que é listado quando digito "sudo aptitude update" e sudo aptitude safe-upgrade". O que ocorre é que fico pensando: Nas linhas relacionadas com "Translation", está correto? ou seja, é isso tudo mesmo? E nas demais linhas? tudo ok? O que reparo em alguns outros sistemas é que parecem ser sempre tão reduzidas essas informações e no meu caso, sempre tem "coisa demais".

Bem, reparem que a mensagem com o que é listado no Terminal do meu sistema não pode ser enviada porque passa dos 2000 mil caracteres que é o tamanho máximo que é permitido no Fórum, ok. Porém, é sobre justamente isso que eu quero lhes perguntar... "a lista que aparece no processo de atualização do meu Ubuntu (12.04) é gigantesca, isso é normal? Só uns arquivos "Translation" aparecem umas 30 vezes...

Observação:
Acabei de verificar que aparece isso no final do processo e que mesmo que eu faça o que ele sugere (W: Você terá que executar apt-get update para corrigir estes problemas), não modifica nada. Ou seja, será que o "tamanho" que eu me refiro é porque tenho duas "Source-List"?

Mas já te falo que salvo raras exceções vc não precisa de uma source list tão grande.

Uma curiosidade minha tbm é essa, outras distros tem no máximo meia dúzia de reposítórios e no Ubuntu quando roda o comando apt-get update aparece um monte de repositórios, não entendo o porque disso.

Bem, é coisa demais, 240 linhas... !!! Ou seja, acho plenamente que isso não está correto. Tudo bem, o sistema funciona normalmente, mais sei lá... nem por isso que dar bobeira e haver instalado algo que não seja de fato, usual, seguro... !

O melhor a fazer é não mexer nesses arquivos fonte e "repositórios", deixar tudo no padrão. Justo para evitar problemas e erros desconhecidos.

É isso mesmo "garfo"... o melhor é não mexer mesmo não. Mais veja só, o que eu fiz que resultou numa lista gigantesca foi instalar PPA's do tipo: emesene, pidgin, Ubuntu Tweak, Shutter (programa de captura de tela), cardapio e o repositório do GetDeb, ou seja, creio que somente programas "comuns".
Aliás, aproveito até pra lhes fazer uma pergunta: Posso remover da lista do Synaptic os programas que aparecem com o final main (Código Fonte) ?

João, execute o seguinte comando e passe o resultado para a gente:

cat /etc/apt/sources.listesse é o arquivo onde estão os repositorios utilizados.

Eu notei que você tem alguns repositorios repetidos, por exemplo:

Você pode eliminar as repetições sem problema algum, basta editar o arquivo sources.list, fazendo:

Pessoal, é muito simples resolver problemas com sources lists, é só gerar uma limpa no sources lists generator e substituir

Funciona 100%, na boa... pode fazer a bizarrice que for pra testar, depois é só gerar uma sorces lists novinha lá, e ainda dá pra adicionar algumas fontes extras.

Isso aí acho que são as traduções ou de algo que possa aparecer no terminal como instruções ou são informações sobre um aplicativo, por exemplo no Synaptic sempre há uma descrição de um pacote que selecionamos logo abaixo, aí penso que isso aí seria a tradução para as descrições dos pacotes no nosso idioma que pelo visto nunca tem (é encontrado), deixando sempre em inglês.
