Amigos do forum sei que já existem tópicos aqui que tratam desse assunto mas já apliquei todos eles e nenhum funcionou. Em outros foruns já encontrei, também, muitas orientações, algumas das quais já usei sem sucesso. Se alguém souber de uma orientação que de fato funcione ficarei eternamente agradecido. Por antecipação, posto, aqui, o arquivo "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" do meu sistema:
