Isso indica que o hd precisa ser trocado, correto?
Sendo positivo, qual a merlhor maneira de fazer, considerando que esse hd é o que possui o /?

Trocar o HD que tem a partição raiz nunca é simples, nem fácil.

Eu sugiro que vc dê boot no servidor com um LiveCD ou LivePendrive, com o HD substituto plugado. Instale o programa "gparted" e copie todas as partições do HD antigo pro novo. Depois, retire o HD antigo e coloque o novo no lugar.

O pior problema é agora: recuperar o grub. Não tenho um procedimento pra isso de cabeça, mas posso pesquisar amanhã durante o dia.

Ficaria muito grato se tu conseguisse o procedimento para recuperação do grub.
Sobre a troca de hd, já tinha lido para usar o dd, mas como a mensagem era de alguns anos atrás, fiquei na duvida se seria a melhor forma.
