Pessoal, resolvi utilizar o linux e, como sempre ouvi dizer que o Ubuntu era o melhor, resolvi usá-lo, não tenho conhecimento nenhum. Pesquisando como instalar programas fui levado a "Central de programas do Ubuntu" e tentei instalar o Chromium, contudo aparece essa uma janela com essa mensagem "Falha ao baixar informações do repositório." "Verificar sua conexão com a internet"... Abaixo estão o detalhe da falha:

Como diria o tio Tota, erro 404 é problema do site e não da tua máquina.

Parece que e o natty mesmo, baixe a versao 12.04 do ubuntu. Se desejar manter essa versao vc precisa alterar a sua souces dessa forma;

acessar o arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list (comando sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list pelo terminal) apague tudo e cole isso:

deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates main restricted universe multiverse

Salve e de um update.

Depois que ela deixa de ter suporte ela vai para um outro repositorio chamado de "old releases" a partir de entao vc tem que apontar a sua source list para esse repositorio se quiser continuar usando essa versao.

Se estiver usando mesmo a versão 11.04, baixe a 12.04 que é a de longo suporte e instale no seu pc. Vale o esforço pois esta versão está muito boa. Dúvidas na instalação procure antes algum tutorial para aprender a instalar.
