Puxa, tenho uma dúvida que já procurei e não encontro:

Quero entrar em uma pasta do tipo "Meus Documentos" via terminal, como fazer o terminal entender que o espaço entre os dois nomes faz parte do endereço da pasta?

exemplo:

#cd /media/Windows/Documents and Settings

Porque o terminal só entende como endereço isso:

OK pessoal,
Obrigado por td. Conseguí resolver o problema.
Tratava-se de um problema físico, pois tanto o windows quanto o linux, quando iam iniciar usando aceleração 3D, travavam. Mas o windows iniciava no modo de segurança e o linux iniciava normal se usasse o driver padrão "nv".

Então pensei ser um problema com a placa. Tirei-a do pc, passei uma borracha nos contatos que entram no slot AGP e espetei-a novamente na placa-mãe.

Funcionou, depois disso, a instalação do driver foi rápida e simples no Ubuntu.

Mais uma vez, obrigado a todos que responderam ao tópico.

Bom olhei o tópico a cima e tudo, mas não resolveu.

Basicamente, o problema é o mesmo. É apontado um erro de compatibilidade com a versão do NVIDIA kernel module com a versão do X.

Estou pesquisando, por favor, se alguém puder me ajudar, ficaria muito grato.

Olá pessoal,

Sou novo no linux, instalei o Ubuntu 7.04 e ele roda normal. No entando, quando mandei o Gerenciador de Drivers Restritos instalar o driver da minha placa de vídeo (GeForce4 MX 440 AGP 8x), ao reiniciar deu erro.

Erro

Bom, andei dando uma olhada no

man nvidia-xconfig e encontrei esse comando

nvidia-xconfig --no-load-kernel-module. Mas quando iniciei o X, deu um erro pior.

O que posso fazer para resolver meu problema? ???
O Ubuntu é muito bom ;), mas sem aceleração 3D para jogar :'(, fica complicado.
