Ubuntu não inicializa, sempre volta a tela do boot e depois entra em modo texto(terminal).

Alguém poderia me ajudar?
Toda atualização e programa instalado pelo Synaptic no final aparece uma janela de erro assim:

Internet, Redes e Segurança / internet não funciona no kubuntu remix 9.10

Instalei o Kubuntu Remix 9.10 no note hp Pavilion dv4-2012, mas o modem 3g-Nokia cs-10-zap.vivo, nem pisca a luz vermelha quanto mais as verde e azul.

Peguei a banda larga móvel da vivo, mas não entre na internet!
Já tentei com os artigos relacionados do fórum e nada, quando ligo o computador aparece o icone no desktop, mas pelas dicas dadas dentro do próprio ubuntu não consigo me conectar; quando entro no terminal e peço o arquivo proc/net/dev ele aparece vazio e escrito, modificado no disco, mas o lspci indica a placa weriless( PCI express) como ativada.
Se alguem puder me ajudar, agradeço!
Já tentei com os artigos relacionados do fórum e nada, quando ligo o computador aparece o icone no desktop, mas pelas dicas dadas dentro do próprio ubuntu não consigo me conectar; quando entro no terminal e peço o arquivo proc/net/dev ele aparece vazio e escrito, modificado no disco, mas o lspci indica a placa weriless( PCI express) como ativada.
Se alguem puder me ajudar, agradeço!

Bem; o que eu tenho paraser resolvido, parece ser um pouco complicado.
Eu sou leitor assiduo das escritas semitas, traduzidas, para o Português ou Espanhol.
Agora vem a Paulada!
A maioria das Biblias: Peshita Aramaica, Tanach Etc... Estão para serem baixados para o Windows, em , .exe; eu não consigo baixar nada para meu PC!, Por causa desta porcaria deste sistema da Microsoft! Eu já sai dele porque não prestava, só vivia com virus, e travando! Agora, será que vai ficar me atormentando ainda, depois que joguei ele no LIXO?

Sei que esse assunto está ficando meio cansativo, p/ vocês; Mas o problema é que não consigo me conectar a internet, com o ubuntu br 8(O mais novo), que baixei da web.
Meu pc configuração: Intel pentium 4, cpu 2.80ghz, 1,0gb ram, nvidia geforce 7100 gs.
