Pessoal fazia um tempo que eu nao escrivia aqui..
Entao aqui vai no nova versao do Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 1.5 Edition?
This is perhaps the most anticipated release to date, the servers are loaded to the hilt. Please DO NOT download this if you are running UUE 1.4 (script upgrade will take care of you). Above all please help out others and torrent it. Since the 4th of this month (16 days at time of posting) 1.4 to date has seen over 7 também (nothing less then 2.6 também a week by stats) of bandwidth just from main download server well over 2 million requests of 1.4 CD & DVD just 1 server, I remind you we have many mirrors 10 in all hosting UUE, one 200 people at a time is at max capacity on one of his 2 servers. I can not stress how important that it is to torrent this release. We do have a mirror to host 1.5 to try and take the load off snaple a great guy wanted to absorb 1.4 as well (may have his hands overfull in just 1.5), please, please torrent after you get it.
This release was built based off Ubuntu Ultimate 1.4 DVD. There will be no 64 bit edition. This is Ubuntu Ultimate 1.4 DVD with KDE, Enlightenment, XFCE, and Windowmaker to name a few added and user selectable from the login window (7 in all). This is the last in the series of Feisty Fawn based. This is basically Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and others combinded, along with additional software integraded; This is the UUE 1.3 of Edgy based distro only Feisty Fawn; respectivly speaking.
Please be aware this release is the largest release minus Gamers made to date (it will be under a serious load so please help out and torrent), weighing in at 2.2 Gigabytes (too large for me to serve 2GB max per file here). Those that run UUE 1.4 when the script is updated will have the option to "Upgrade" to this release. So please don't download it if you run UUE 1.4 you will want to wait for the script update, beyond that I have tried and have sucessfully "Upgraded" to Gusty Gibson what will be 1.6 using this release (no script update until Gusty Gibson goes final, I have my hands well overfull). Please don't PM me unless there is no other solution. I suppose I should point out I have made an online F.A.Q. more elaborate then here, after all I am 1 MAHN.
It has all the Applications listed in UUE 1.4 (many additional updates) & the additional environments. If that isn't enough for you the included "Upgrade" icon on the desktop will download and install for you additional apps / games (by your choice if custom is selected).
As with any other 1.4+ release in the "Ultimate" series of distrubutions or distros for short; upgrading from 1.4+ to 1.5 to 1.6 (Gusty Gibson based) etc. will be a click of the mouse away and without downloading 2GB every time. Full releases will still be availible for download.
I have added a script I wrote (1.4+) that comes up on boot that allows Flash Adobe Acrobat reader, video drivers etc. to be installed & plays music as it downloads them from the Live DVD as well as first time it is boot (installed).
As always any software that requires a license agreement is not included, Java, Flash, Acrobat reader, Google Earth etc. Please freat not (1.4+) included in the release is my custom repo hosted on a seperate server which contains all the software and much more. Unlike Ubuntu Ultimate 1.3, to make life easier for users this distro will install drivers, Flash, and Acrobat reader for you apon booting from the live DVD. After installed there is an upgrade icon on the desktop that will install Google Earth etc.
To answer the question... What is Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 1.5? It is Ubuntu Feisty Fawn with the all the software from 1.4 pre-added, many wireless issues addressed, and additional Enviornments:

eu ja baixei demorei 5 hors mas valeu apena mesmo... completo e vem com uns 35 temas diferentes dentro dele//
E ao outro amigo sim, Todas as versoes de Ubuntu tem suporte a linguagem . basta vc baixar ele, esse DVD ou CD e Live, vc tera a opicao de testar ele antes de instalar direto, depois podera selecionar as opicoes como hora, linguas e etc:

O tema inteiro (splash, wallpaper, icones etc..), mas só valerá a pena se os efeitos do Compiz Fusion funcionarem legal nele.

Instalei e fiquei surpreso com a quantidade de programas pre instaldos nele, basta vc clicar em update que o terminal abre sozinho e comeca a instalar programas, pelo que eu vi tem todos que suporta o Ubuntu..
Sim eu estou nele sim instalei depois que eu coloquei esse topico e estou adorando..

Eu tenho ele completo aqui com todos os programas e updtaes no meu Hard Driver ( Disco Duro) de 160 GB , ele todo ucupou 7.2GB
Ao outro amigo ele, e na verdade um Ubuntu 7.4 com os temas Themes, e com todos os programas desponiveis atualmente, com a opicao de vc escolher que quer Instalar ou nao...

Se fosse uma nova versão creio que valeria a pena reinstalar Ubuntu. Como é apenas um complemento eu prefiro gravar em um DVD e deixar como primeira opção. Caso eu precise reinstalar o SO eu o usarei, caso contrário deixo como está.

scarface, vc pode me enviar por dvd para pernambuco. vc me diz quanto vai custar e me passa teus dados. feito o depósito, vc me envia. tem como? minha net é de 128kb, tentei fazer o download e derrubei a net de todo mundo aqui da cidade. rsrsrsrs. provedor sem estrutura.

Para o colega que não consegui baixar, existe um tema muito legal, parecido com este, eu uso e sugiro:
UbuntuStudio, instale pelo synaptic, ubuntustudio-theme,wallpaper,icon-theme .
Depois, é só pegar um tema que combine para o Firefox ou Opera.

eu ja uso o ubuntustudio. só que eu não quero mais é ficar baixando pacotes todas as vezes que der pau no kernel, entende. e esse ja vem com tudo e muito mais. foi o que eu entendi.

Onde é que eu consigo um DVD desse ultimate? Será que alguma revista vai colocar como brinde algum dia? Foi assim que eu consegui o ubuntu 7.04.
Pelas opiniões de quem já usa, não será uma decepção como o ultimate do windows. Que, aliás, comprei por 20 e achei um lixo. Tá aqui o DVD largado e sem utilidade. Eu daria ele de graça, mas, até assim, seria uma ofensa a comunidade linux aqui presente.
Mas eu quero mesmo esse DVD do Ubuntu Ultimate.

Tem algum sentido para a versão 64bits ter 1.1gb a menos do que a versão 32bits???

Um problema: queimei o DVD do Ultimate, mas, ao iniciar a máquina com ele, o trem empaca. Com Crtl + Alt + BkSp vejo que ele está na seguinte mensagem:
Buffer I/O error on device hdb, logical block xxx
E avança o número do bloco, volta um pouco, e fica por aí um tempão.
Alguém sabe o que pode ser?

Fiquei baixando ele durante 4 horas aqui no meu PC e no final do download apareceu no Opera q deu erro no Download....
Então eu verifiquei o MD5SUM e ele bateu certinho, será q tem algum problema?

valeu. valeu mesmo. tem uma galera doida aqui pelo ubuntu. ja instalei em várias máquinas. alguma não podem desfrutar de alguns recursos por causa do cartão gŕafico. só dois amigos meus que desistiram dele. o resto ainda continua usando.

Ahh e mais uma coisa, com o tema do ultimate fica impossivel de ler caixas de textos e essas coisas... se alguem souber algum jeito de melhorar essa situação...

Melhor eu ficar com o 7.04 em cd mesmo o ultimate deu muito trabalho.

Um problema: queimei o DVD do Ultimate, mas, ao iniciar a máquina com ele, o trem empaca. Com Crtl + Alt + BkSp vejo que ele está na seguinte mensagem:
Buffer I/O error on device hdb, logical block xxx
E avança o número do bloco, volta um pouco, e fica por aí um tempão.
Alguém sabe o que pode ser?

Acontece parecido com o meu ubuntu quando inicia ele fica tentando consertar blocos mais isso ele faz na minha partição NTFS agora ele dar "I/O erro" é estranho tua partição hdb é NTFS ?

Parece muito bom para quem quer deixar o computador repleto de coisas que não usa e nem nunca vai usar... heheheh.. Prefiro ir instalando as coisas de acordo com a necessidade.
Ainda assim, parece servir para abranger aquela fatia dos usuários que usam ou pretendiam usar o rWindows Vista Ultimate Edition (preferia chamar de Ultraloaded ou Megaheavy Edition).

Se não houvesse correlação, não se chamaria Ubuntu Ultimate, nem usaria um tema black, nem um papel de parede do tipo aurora, nem tentaria vir repleto de "funcionalidades" (ou como você quiser chamar)...
É claro que as comparações terminam por aí. Afinal um é Linux, o outro é rWin.
