Dou o comando " sudo apt-get update" , não reconhece e diz o seguinte, que fazer ?
"E: Tipo 'OK' não é conhecido na linha 1 na lista de fontes /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list
E: A lista de fontes não pode ser lida."

Õ Freitas, que bagunça foi feita aí nessa sources.list?
Porque o Ubuntu está com repositórios do Debian???
Favor copiar e colar aqui a saída do comando:
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
Mas já te adiantando, ele não consegue ler este repositório deb-multimedia.list! Que não é oficial!

O seu problema são caracteres estranhos neste arquivo adicionado ao seu sistema
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list
Das duas uma: Comente a linha problemática no arquivo ou remova ele de uma vez.
Ele não faz parte do Ubuntu.
Coloque a saída do comando abaixo aqui.
sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list

Coloquei no terminal sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list, e não deu nada só "OK" o que significa ?

Abra o arquivo com o seguinte comando:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list
Dê <Enter>, digite sua senha, e coloque um # no início da primeira linha do arquivo.
Salve a modificação, feche o arquivo e tente novamente um update no sistema.
Para deletar o arquivo faça o seguinte:
sudo nautilus /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
Dê <Enter>, digite sua senha.
Selecione o arquivo deb-multimedia.list e delete-o.
Faça um update no sistema.

Remova o arquivo e pronto.
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list

Ainda tá ruim a resposta que vem é :

Como selecionar o "deb-multimedia.list" e deletar ? Se for no terminas ele não obedece

Tenha calma! Só faça o que for pedido e não precisa ficar repetindo comando.
O arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list já foi removido, mas existem outros. Poste a saída do comando anterior que te enviei.

Use uma única vez o comando abaixo e depois rode o "apt-get update"
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/{deb-multimedia.list{~,.save},plex.list{,.save}}

Com este comando deu certo: "sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/{deb-multimedia.list{~,.save},plex.list{,.save}}"

Foi feito sobre medida para o seu problema.
Peço aos outros usuários que estejam passando por problemas semelhantes que não usem a solução apresentada aqui.
Cada caso deve ser tratado com sua singularidade e a solução depende de uma maior análise do problema.
