Problemas com a Central de Programas Ubuntu

Olá pessoal, sou nova utilizando o linux então se eu cometer algumas bobagens me desculpem rs.
Eu tô querendo instalar o emesene, mas não consigo. Eu vou na central de programas, procuro o emesene e quando clico em instalar aparece a seguinte mensagem:
" Parece haver um erro de programação no aptdaemon, o programa que permite que você instale/remova programas e realize outras tarefas relacionadas ao gerenciamento de pacotes."
Também já tentei pelo terminal com o seguinte comando: sudo apt-get install emesene e não deu certo. Já olhei os tópicos sobre o assunto, mas nenhum me ajudou. O que devo fazer? Obrigado desde já.

E ah, já tentei instalar outros programas pela Central e ocorreu o mesmo problema.

Caso não resolva, copie e cole no terminal o seguinte comando:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Dê <Enter>, digite a senha e poste aqui o que estiver no arquivo que vai se abrir.

Um a um vai colando e executando cada comando a seguir no terminal, digite a senha e dê <Enter> após cada comando:


sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get update


Poste aqui o resultado de cada comando, na íntegra!
