Aplicativos GTK com tema classico

Estou tendo um problema, todos os meus programas que usam aparência GTK, estão com o tema clássico eu já mudei nas aparências de aplicativos o GTK+ para oxygen-gtk mas não adianta de nada.

estou tentando instalar mas sem sucesso, pode fazer um tutorial?

Ele acusou a falta da dependência pkg-config ("pkg-config tool not found"). O pacote gtk3-engines-oxygen, está disponível no repositório do 12.04...
