Problema central de Programas Linux Ubuntu 11.04

Olá,

estou com problema qdo tento usar a Central de Programas do Ubuntu pois tento Obter programa e digito como transmission e fica pesquisando e não tras nada fica somente mostrando imagem d busca e nada deixei 1 hora e não trouxe nada ...

E tentei ir na opção Programas instalados e aconteceu a mesma coisa ....
O que pode ser ....

Pode ser falta de atualização.

Entre em terminal e digite

sudo apt-get upgrade

Depois tente instalar algo.
