GoogleEarth sem inicializar

Qual o prob.? Aparece a tela de apresentação, como se fosse inicializar e, ploft, some completamente sem dar qualquer sinal do programa. O que fazer?

Comunidade Ubuntu, essa nova versão melou o pouco que eu tinha conseguido na 8.04...

Aconteceu exatamente a mesma coisa comigo. No meu caso era problema com o Java.

Tente reinstalar o JRE (Java Runtime Envrionment)

Depois reinstale

Baixe a versão mais nova do GoogleEarth. Se já tiver, é só reinstalar.

Estou achando que o meu problema é com o driver da Placa de Vídeo, que na atualização do Ubuntu se perdeu...

Vá em Sistema>>Administração>>Drivers de Hardware e instale o driver, caso não esteja instalado.

Depois rode o Google Earth pelo Terminal e veja se aparece algum erro

Desinstale o Google Earth com o comando

sudo sh /opt/google-earth/uninstall

Depois reinstale. Caso não tenha o instalador baixe em:

http://earth.google.com.br/intl/pt-BR/download-earth.html
