Hardware - Notebook Philco PHN14118

Olá a todos,
Recentemente adquiri este notebook, o qual veio com Mandriva e consegui instalar o Ubuntu nele.
O meu problema agora é configurar os demais hardwares, em especial a placa wireless (meu roteador chegará semana que vem e não quero acumular os pepinos para depois) e o monitor.
Também gostaria, se possível, de um indicador de nível de bateria.
